Linik, Zohar (“Sonla”)

Son of Mordechai and Mia, was born on the 8th of Adar, March 9, 1949, in Yehud. He studied at the David Remez School, and then at the Hof Ha-Sharon educational institution on Kibbutz Yakum. He was a member of Hashomer Hatzair, in Kiryat Chaim. Since his childhood, he excelled in leadership ability, and was an example of honesty, according to his many friends. He enjoyed dance and drama, and was ready to help others. He was prepared to give everything to the IDF, as he expressed himself shortly before his enlistment. He fell during the line of duty on the 25th of Adar, March 25, 1968. In his letter of condolence to his parents, the commander of his unit wrote: “Zohar stood out for his good qualities as a soldier and was admired by his fellow officers and his commander.”
