Lindy, Ezra


Ezra, son of Mazal and David, was born on March 21, 1954, in Rosh Ha’ayin. Ezra was drafted into the IDF at the end of October 1972, and after completing basic training, he fulfilled one of his greatest aspirations when he successfully completed a parachuting course. In the Yom Kippur War, Ezra was the first infantry to reach the front line in the Sinai and participated in the battles. During a battle that took place on October 20, 1973, Ezra was killed and he was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents and two sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
