Licht, Avraham (Fredo)
Son of Chaya and Shraga Eliezer, was born on June 18, 1926, in the city of Brin, Czechoslovakia, to wealthy parents, and his parents’ house was a committee and home for every Jew of national recognition. He was sent to Eretz Israel with his brother, who was a student at a university in Jerusalem, and studied at the agricultural school in Pardes Hannah, but when he enlisted, he stopped studying and enlisted in the Palmach in 1943. He attended courses and was a training instructor, a favorite of society and the spirit of life. In his pocket he always had a Nazi passport, and he used to show and say with a laugh that this was the only document proving that he was alive (his parents had perished during the Holocaust). Abraham excelled in a clear and unbiased vision, with common sense and with great persuasion. In 1945 he immigrated to the settlement of Ramot Naftali with the Bnei Peled organization. At the beginning of the War of Independence, which broke out after the UN General Assembly decided to divide the country into two states, he was called to the Bnei Peled Company, which changed its name to the Reagan organization, He returned to his position in Safed and fell on the day of the city’s liberation on May 10, 1948. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Safed, and his death hurt his Lev, But he did not surprise them, because he volunteered for nature, and his life was not considered to him at all.
