Levin, Nachman


Nachman, son of Avraham and Odette Levine, was born on December 8, 1944 in Cairo, Egypt. In 1946 the family moved to Israel and spent his childhood in Bila Nachman in Ramat Gan. In February 1962, he enlisted in the IDF and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade, where he was a member of the Paratroopers Brigade at the time of his service. On the 26th of Sivan 5727 (July 4, 1967), at the time of the breakthrough to Dahab, he rode over a mine and died. He left behind a wife. Nachman was buried in the military cemetery in Haifa. His close friend called his son Nachman, after him.
