Son of Horasi and Hasmonai was born on the 17th of Tevet 5725 (17.1.1925) in the city of Rusa, Bulgaria. His father was one of the first Zionists in Bulgaria. In February 1946, his turn also arrived and he immigrated to Israel. He worked in privatizations in Haifa and settled in Kiryat Motzkin. He joined the Haganah in the Carmeli Brigade, was a member of the “Carmeli” Brigade, fought in the battles in the vicinity of Acre and participated in an attack on Birwa, where the Birwa village and the three outposts were held On the afternoon of June 23, Kaukji and local Arab forces attacked the village and forced the force to withdraw, and at night a force from the Carmeli Brigade organized and at dawn on June 24 attacked, captured one of the outposts , But the attempts to conquer the village did not succeed, and during the day the battle continued and the Carmeli forces repulsed enemy attacks on the outpost they were in. At night the force was reinforced, Envoy to capture the village and outposts. In this battle, Levi Yosef fell on the 17th of Sivan (06/24/1948). While an assault was shot in the throat and fell with his hands still holding a machine gun. Was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Nahariya.
