Yigal, son of Yehudit and Naim, was born on the 28th of Av 5713 (13.7.1953) in Petah Tikva. more then anything Yigal knew how to be a friend, everyone felt that he was their best friend. he had self-respect and made sure to keep his promises and fulfill them. justice was very important for him, and he was ready to confront anyone who violated the rules of honesty and loyalty. he used to say his opinion about everything openly witch caused of course to arguments and disagreements when people tried explaining to him that that’s not always the way he got upset and said: “you’re trying to take away from me what my parents taught me for 19 years?” Yigal loved watching theater movies and reading long Roman novels, he loved listening to music and loved sports, he would plat soccer in the neighborhood. Yigal was drafted into the IDF in mid-November 1971 and volunteered for the parachuting Nahal Brigade After completing basic training, he was employed by heavy machine gun operators and was assigned, together with members of the nucleus, To one of the Nahal units, as a machine gunner. During his time in Kibbutz Massada, he had the time of his life and soon became part of the agriculture. He had a deep and true love for the youth movement and his friends, and he always quarreled with the friend. Yigal participated in the battle against the Syrians in the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War. (October 7, 1973), was injured and killed by an enemy bullet, After long hours of fighting against the enemy who is attacking his post. He was laid to rest in the Petah Tikva cemetery. Survived by his parents. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
