Levi, Shaul


Son of Avraham and Shwadia. He was born in 1938 in Yemen and immigrated to Israel in 1949. After studying in an elementary school in Rosh Ha’ayin until the sixth grade, he continued his studies in Degania B. He studied only in one class of high school there and then studied the profession Three years after his death from his mother he began to see the motherland as his mother and was willing to sacrifice everything he had for him, and he once said to his sister: “Do not despair, Rivka, from Life, that you do not have a mother; Our mother is the homeland and she keeps us from all harm. “He was drafted into the IDF in August 1956 and participated in the Sinai Campaign. From the beginning, he took his life for the rest of his life on Kibbutz Ormat, serving in the army, because his strong desire was to be among the workers of the land that revived the homeland. But when he finished his service, he decided to continue in the regular army within the company of his friends who bought over time. On the 7th of Av 5719 (August 10, 1959) he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, and his memory was mentioned in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Paratroop Wars.”
