Son of Yael and Shlomo, was born on 13.5.1963 and grew up in Ramat Gan. Ronny did not excel in elementary school, but when he moved to high school, his attitude changed and he worked hard in his studies and passed the matriculation exams successfully. During this period he devoted himself to various sports: horseback riding, tennis and basketball. Ronny invested a special effort in Krav Maga training, and even won an orange belt. Alongside his involvement in sports, he was active in the “Youth for Youth” organization, and then considered the possibility of serving as parachutist with his friends Roni wanted to be a paratrooper, like his brother Rafi, but when he enlisted he was given a relatively low profile, He volunteered for the most combat corps he could serve – the Armored Corps – Roni loved the service in this corps, and especially liked the Merkava tank, which was part of his team. His commander said that he was highly motivated, capable, honest, quiet and had a sense of humor. Roni was killed while rescuing a damaged tank two days after the outbreak of the Peace for Galilee war.
