Levi, David

David, son of Yaakov and Sofia Levi, was born on 24 February 1944 in Tel Aviv. He loved life and a smile always hung over his face, making only good and Simcha for everyone around him, especially his parents. David was drafted into the IDF in October 1961 and served in the Armored Corps. In the Six Day War, on the fifth day of the fighting, he was killed, on 1 Sivan 5727 (9.6.1967). David fell in a battle held in Kala’a in the Golan Heights. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and later transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
