Leibowitz, Ben-Zion (‘Bentzi’)

Son of-Zion, son of Yitzhak and Rachel Leibowitz, was born on the 21st of Adar 5717 (12.3.1956) in Bnei Brak. Bentzi was drafted into the IDF in late July 1974 and volunteered to serve in the Nahal Brigade. After completing basic training, he was sent to the Armored Corps School, where he took a course and became a tank driver. In April 1975, he was sent to the Har Zion Yeshiva in Gush Etzion, where he was studying, and on November 17, 1975, Bentzi fell in a battle in the Golan Heights, and was brought to eternal rest in the Ponevezh cemetery.
