Laufer, Meir

Meir, son of Moshe and Gita Laufer, was born on 22 June 1936 in the city of Czernowitz, Romania. In 1948 the family immigrated on one of the immigrant ships. He participated in the Sinai Campaign and on 27 Cheshvan (1.11.1956), Meir fell in battle in Abu-Agila. He was buried in the Military Cemetery in Szelet and was transferred to the military cemetery in Haifa in 1957.
