Laszlo, Ephraim
Born in 1911 in Hungary to a assimilated family, he was active in the Zionist movement in his city, and moved to Eretz Israel to realize the Zionist idea in his soul. When he was discharged from military service, he joined the Zionist pioneering training commune of Hechalutz HaZioni General in which he was notable for his industriousness and his rapid adaptation to difficult agricultural work. In 1933, he joined the Association of Guardians and served for two and a half years as a guard at the stone quarry near Nesher, and from there to guard duty in the Tiberias hot springs and the flour mills in the area. On 16 Nisan, April 5, 1939, he was on his way to the ice factory in Tiberias and was attacked by an ambush and murdered. He was brought to rest in Shekh-Abirak, in the cemetery of the guards. He left behind an expectant wife.
