Lange, Dov (“Barak”)
The only son of Eliyahu and Sabina. Born in Poland on the 10th of Tevet 5709 (10.1.1949), the family immigrated to Israel in 1957. Dov studied at the Ramat Yosef elementary school in Daughter of-Yam and after completing his studies he studied at the Amal School “To the apprentices in Tel Aviv, and as a student in the school belonged to the Gadna. During his spare time he was involved in soccer and basketball, reading books and swimming in the sea. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1966. A good-hearted soldier was fond of all his comrades – he wanted to avoid any danger – and the last case would prove: when he drove the half-track, he would turn over; Then he took the soldiers with him and drove off. But on his journey he died. This was on 9 September 1968 near Mitzpeh Ramon, and was brought to rest at the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery, where the company commander wrote a letter of condolence to Dov’s parents: “I can only describe Dov as he was portrayed To me and to his friends. Dov was a soldier. During his service in our unit, he managed to become fond of all those who came into contact. Indeed, one of the best soldiers in the unit was a soldier on whom it was possible to trust in carrying out any task assigned to him. I know that words can not soothe and comfort you, but I tried to express what his friends and commanders felt – and especially the feelings of the friends he had saved in his last act. Perhaps it will be a little consolation for you to know that thanks to sons as a bear, citizens of the state can continue to live without fear and without living because of the narrowness of us. “
