Lahav, Eitan

Eitan was born on the 14th of Elul 5712 (14.9.1952) in Nahariya and grew up in Kibbutz Beit HaEmek. When he was a teenager, the family left the kibbutz and moved to Ramat Hasharon, but Eitan was very unhappy in the city. He asked, pleaded and pleaded, and finally his parents allowed him to return to the farm. Eitan was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-October 1970 and was assigned to the Israel Air Force, where he fulfilled his ambition to become a pilot. On the 25th of Tishrei 5734 (21.10.1973), on a mission Eitan conducted in the north of the country, his plane crashed and he was buried in the cemetery of Kibbutz Beit HaEmek and left behind a father, mother and brother.
