Kudria, Abraham

Son of Mordechai HaCohen and Frida. He was born in 1947 in Aleppo, Syria, where he studied in a Talmud Torah in the city where he was born, and was kind to all his friends and acquaintances. About immigrating to Eretz Israel, and he even organized his friends to encourage and plan immigration to Israel, and when he reached the age of 15, he threatened his family that if they did not agree to immigrate he would immigrate without them. A week later his family arrived in Israel, and the joy of the meeting was great: Avraham was diligent and worked at night and never lost his temper. Avraham was drafted into the IDF in February 1968. His commanders marked him as a disciplined soldier and a model friend, loved by anyone who knew him and as a result he was promoted to ranks. His spirit was always strong and cheerful. He planned his life after liberation and was about to marry a wife, but fate did not. On the 21st of March 1971 he died of wounds that had been injured two weeks earlier from enemy activity while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion.
