Klein, Dov


Dov Klein, son of Tzippora and Fishel, was born in 1913 in Tarnopol, Galicia. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1936. He lived in Rechovot. In the midst of the bloody events in Israel, he and his friends joined the group of workers of the Israel Electric Corporation in order to protect them in their work by repairing a power line. On 15 Elul, 11.9.1938, on their way to Masmiya they were attacked by an Arab gang. The truck carrying the workers managed to escape but the van was stopped and all six passengers, including Dov and his three friends, were hit and killed. He was laid to rest in the Rehovot cemetery. He left a wife in Tarnopol and a sister in Haifa.
