Khatib Bader, Ihab

Khatib Bader, Ihab

Son of Farcha and Mofid. Born on December 22, 1982 in the Druze village of Magar in the north of the country. On August 8, 2001, Ihab enlisted in the IDF in the Combat Engineering Corps. In the last days of his life, Ihab served as a logistics officer in the Kfir Brigade. On the way back to his home base, Ihab arrived at the Tapuach junction in Samaria with the window of his military vehicle open. A Palestinian civilian stabbed him in the chest and injured him moderately. Ihab continued to drive, apparently to escape, until he lost control of his vehicle and turned into a roadside canal. Ihab fell on February 10, 2010. He was twenty seven years old. He was survived by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. He was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant after his death.
