Kaminsky, Moshe

Son of Rivka and Mordechai, was born in Russia in 1914. When he was about three years old, he moved with his family to Eretz Israel and moved to live in the Tel-Hayim neighborhood of Zablawi, And as a father in front of him, Moshe was a men’s book and his barbershop on Herzl Street was considered one of the most Yaffa hairdressers in the country. Face-to-face) on the roof of the Kaminsky family’s house, far from the British eyes. In 1945, Moshe abandoned his profession, procured a truck and engaged in transportation. As a reliable member of the Haganah, he was ordered to buy surplus equipment from the British army and to transfer them, with the help of other members, from Tira, near Haifa, to Tel Aviv. On the 15th of Adar 2, 5708 (March 26, 1948), the small convoy of trucks left for Tel Aviv. One of the trucks veered away from the road, and then the gangs began to fire dum-dum bullets at the convoy. One of the drivers was injured – and Moshe was taken to his truck and then he himself was hit in the head and fell. In the evening, the bodies of the dead were taken out by the Haganah fighters who risked their lives by doing so. Moshe was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
