Jerby, Aharon

Son of Shalom and Hannah. He was born on February 12, 1952 in Haifa, to a large family and attended elementary school in Beit Eliezer near Hadera. Aaron was courteous, courteous, and excelled in the love of others. He was endowed with a great deal of patience, which enabled him to develop and exploit his many talents. He acquired a lot of education and knowledge, despite the difficulties of the family, and did so on his own. His favorite pursuits were shooting and table tennis. He was an outstanding trainee at the Shooting Club and devoted a lot of energy and interest to shooting. Thanks to his precision and patience, he won first place in a regional shooting competition (1967) and was awarded a medal, certificate of excellence and a telescope. He was also among the first in the national competition. He loved music, especially a guitar fret. Aaron knew how to use his talent to “do things.” Even in his youth he had built himself a guitar and began to play before he could even read notes. After a while he bought an elaborate guitar and played it well. He also worked in various ceramics. Once, by the force of his talent and patience, he had become an old and neglected motorbike he had found lying in a pile of junk for a vehicle that was useful to the surprise of all his vision. He was a member of the Scouts movement, first as an apprentice and later as a counselor and organizer. He was also active in the community center in his neighborhood. He enlisted in the IDF in late 1969 and served in the Israeli Navy, where he found his place and was admired by his colleagues and commanders, who performed all his duties with good spirit and without complaint. During his service he was brought to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Hadera, where a table tennis competition was held in his memory, where gold and silver medals and a silver trophy were awarded to the winners.
