Heiman, Dan
Son of Dora and Meir Naftali (Harry), was born on October 3, 1942, in Tel Aviv. In August 1961 he joined the IDF and served in the Engineering Corps, and after completing basic training, he was promoted to Corporal in October 1962. In January 1964 he completed his military service and continued to serve as an officer in the Engineering Corps in reserve duty. After completing his studies at Tel Aviv University, Dan completed his bachelor’s degree in statistical economics and then began to work as an economist at the Bank, fulfilling his duty to serve in the reserves and fought in the Yom Kippur War. After the war, he was transferred from the Engineering Corps to the Gadna Air Force and served as the instructor of Daya, and in April 1977 he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and two years later was promoted to the rank of sergeant. On the 17th of Adar 5703 (February 13, 1980) he fell during his service. He was 38 when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul in Tel Aviv. He left behind a wife, two daughters, a son and parents.
