Heib, Nayef


Ben Hemda and Ismail. Born on November 18, 1956 in the Bedouin village of Tuba (Arab-El-Hib), who has been serving in the IDF since the establishment of the State of Israel, he studied in elementary and high school in the Yishuv, At the age of twenty, he married Aziza, and at the beginning of 1975 Nayef volunteered for the IDF and was trained to serve as a sergeant in his ranks. Most of the years he worked in the framework of the Northern Division, passed the Litani Operation and the Peace for Galilee War. Since 1989, he has worked as a senior tracker, and continued his service as a experienced, professional and dedicated tracker, and as his colleagues later described it, “We followed him with his eyes closed. In 1990, Nayef married a second wife, Shara, and expected his seventh child after six children from his first wife, and the son who was born to Shara was named Nayef, after his father, and his dedication to work did not affect his involvement in the society in which he lived. And he continued his activities as a member of the parents’ committee and as a member of the sports association in the village of Tuba, and on November 20, 1991, Nayef was killed while carrying out his duties in the eastern sector of the security zone in southern Lebanon. In the cemetery in his village, Tuba, and left behind him Two brothers and seven children – Hisham, Sana, Samaher, Eyal, Jalal, Nayef and Manal, a mother and five brothers and sisters – Ahmad, Fatma, Shara, Ibrahim and Shakma. In addition to his position as a senior inspector, he served as a fighter in every way, volunteering to carry out missions and was highly motivated, an excellent soldier who was admired and accepted by his comrades.
