Halfon, Shulamit (“Shula”)

Daughter of Victor and Rina, was born on August 12, 1952. She studied at the Nof Yam Elementary School and Herzliya High School in Herzliya and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. She was also a good student, quiet and withdrawn, a child was arrested and it was not easy to talk to her, and she understood that people are not divided into “good” and “bad” He learned to appreciate her warm and intimate surroundings and knew that there were deeper and more important things than grades in the school. She was an example of her brother and sister, and was a figure who could identify with her, despite the difference in age between them: Shula had a soul rich in many virtues: intelligence, talent, politeness and sensitivity. And in the store she would grant happiness to all that happened in her vicinity, like the radiance from which she hid human light, her manner aroused great hopes in her future, for everyone felt that wherever she was she would be blessed and useful. 5771 (26.7.1971), fell in the course of her duties. She was brought to rest in the Herzliya cemetery. In a letter of consolation sent by her command to the family, Shula wrote: “Shula was a dedicated soldier in the battalion, and she fulfilled her various duties faithfully and efficiently, and I assure you that her memory will always remain in the unit.” Her memory was immortalized in the memory booklet “Shula Halfon” published in memory of her family.
