Haimovitz, Tal (Taltal)


Son of Miriam and Yossi. He was born in 1980 in Haifa. in early November 1998, he began his studies as part of the academic reserve. During his studies he served as a research assistant and took part in the research work written by Prof. Daniel Weiss on dolphins. His contribution was mentioned in the prestigious Journal of Biology. Four years of intensive studies ended in the summer of 2003. Tal received the title of Engineer and became the object of admiration and family pride. A month earlier, he enlisted in the IDF for the second time and began his service with the “Technical” of the IAF, where he spent two months studying courses and carrying out various tasks. He began to serve in the Kirya in Tel Aviv and received, within a month, the rank of professional training officer. Tal impressed his commanders with his diligence and professional knowledge. Tal was a handsome young man, tall and delicate, loved and special. He faced many more challenges, but his life was abruptly cut short. On 5 Tishrei, 30 September 2003, Tal fell in the line of duty when he was twenty-three years old and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
