Glickson, Mordechai (Moma)

The only son of Yesha and Yaakov was born on September 20, 1927 in Tel Aviv. When the War of Independence broke out, he refused to take advantage of his right as an only son to be released from combat operations. In Sodom, where he moved with his friends, he worked in fortifications and sabotage and took part in an attempt to capture the village of Sefiya in Transjordan, injuring him with an explosion and a few days later, on the 11th of Tammuz 5708 (July 18, 1948), during the bombardment of Sde Dov in Tel Aviv, the pilot was forced to make a raiding landing near Nabi Rubin, and one of the members was wounded, and he and his comrades were left with the wounded man, and only two were sent to bring help, where they were all murdered by Bedouins. He was buried in the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery, and his friends from Beit Ha’Arava published a booklet in his memory, and his parents published the book “Mordechai – Yad LeZeko” (Tel Aviv, 1950).
