Gishma, Rachamim
Son of Tamania and Yosef, was born on April 29, 1951 in Safed to parents who immigrated to Israel from Yemen a year earlier and settled in Rosh Pina. Two years later, the family moved to Moshav Zevdiel in the Lachish region and developed an agricultural farm. Rahamim studied at the Hazon Yehezkel Elementary School in Moshav Hazon, and after completing his studies helped his parents develop the family farm together with his brother and sister. Rahamim was drafted into the IDF in early July 1969, and after completing basic training, he took a driving course and was assigned to the Transportation Corps, where he completed additional driving courses: a half-track driver, an APC driver and a tank driver. And he was given the signal of battle, and completed the compulsory service with the rank of corporal. After his discharge from the army, Mazal brought Mazal to Mazal and established his home in Moshav Zevdiel. For three years he continued to work in the IDF as a civilian driver of transportation, and later worked as a driver in the “Magder” factory in Kiryat Gat. In the wake of the Peace for Galilee war, Rahamim was called to active reserve duty, and on 20 June 1982, Cpl.
