Giron, Yitzhak

Son of Gracia and Yosef, was born on May 2, 1923, to an old Zionist family in Bulgaria. In May 1935, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Hadera. After the UN General Assembly Resolution on 29.11.1947, he served in training and operations in one of the battalions and later in the Alexandroni Brigade. Yitzhak was seriously injured and he died on 26 December 1948. He was buried in Faluja. After his fall, he was promoted to lieutenant. On the 27th of Kislev 5710 (8.12.1949) he was transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
