With this, his connections with his unit became closer, and since then he had called for reserve service and volunteered for various operations. From his last reserve service in November 1975, he did not return. A terrible disaster suddenly put an end to his life. Gadi fell in the line of duty on the 25th of Kislev 5736 (25.11.1975). Was brought to eternal rest in his place of birth – in the cemetery in the Sea of ​​Galilee. He left behind a wife and two children, parents and three brothers. Gad’s memory was immortalized in a corner of memory in Bnei Yehuda. The family also published a booklet in his memory entitled “In the Storm of Heaven.”
