Immediately after arriving in Israel, he began studying at the engineering school in Be’er Sheva, where he stood out as an excellent student and won good grades. Boris was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of May 1972 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After completing his basic training, he completed his training course and the tank course. He was considered a responsible and dedicated soldier and served as an example to his friends in his good temper and obedience. On October 7, 1973, his tank was hit by enemy fire, and he was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Holon.
