Freiber, Yoel (Yoli)
Son of Rachel and Aharon, was born on June 26, 1931 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the Nes Ziona elementary school and continued to study at the elementary school in Kfar Sava. Afterward he studied for two years at the “New High School” and from there went to study at the “Hashomer Hatzair” educational institution (the movement to which he belonged). Yoel tended to the humane trend in the humanities, read many books, loved and understood music (played the violin), and his paintings drew attention. But all this was thrown aside when the decisive days came to an end. From the seventh grade in high school he volunteered for the army, even before the age of 17. He was an innocent, agitated, sensitive boy. Lived the decisive period in the life of the people in full consciousness.
