Formansky, Moshe


Was born on October 20, 1906, in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, where he acquired a higher education and was a member of the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement and was the leader of the movement in Warsaw. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1930 and joined Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek, where he overcame the hardships of absorption in the veteran kibbutz until he became one of its main members, and his ability to analyze social processes and penetrate into depth made him one of the thinkers of his movement. He returned to the United States in 1936. In 1939 he returned with his wife on a mission to the United States and stayed Where he was said to be a “pure intellectual and a man of science – incorporated deep roots in his Lev.” He followed the processes of social life in American Jewry and strongly criticized the intellectuals who used the theory of “multiplicity of cultures” A special territory or a special agriculture, some of his opinions were published in a series of articles in “Al Hamishmar.” At the outbreak of the War of Independence he took an active part in the defense of Mishmar Ha’emek on April 11, 1948, -Poca.
