Fisher, Naftali (“Tully”)
Naftali, son of Avigdor and Chana Fisher, was born in Haifa in 1946. In May 1964, he was drafted into the IDF. When he went to the front of the Six-Day War, he was full of faith in our military strength He served as a junior officer on a permanent basis, leading a jeep to the Suez Canal and courageously standing in front of tanks and even destroying some of them – until he was hit by an Egyptian MiG on the banks of the Suez Canal; It was on the fifth day of the battles, on the 9th of June 1967, in a battle that took place near Ismailia, where he was buried in the military emergency cemetery in Bari and later transferred to the eternal military cemetery in Haifa.
