Feldman, Danny (Dima)


Son of Riva and Vladimir, was born on July 21, 1975, in the city of Brinsk, Russia, a young brother to Alexander. He spent most of his life in Russia, where he completed his studies. In July 1991, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Netanya. Here they began a new life, quite different from their previous lives. The beginning was difficult, but Danny, who was a sixteen-year-old at the time, was very resourceful, sensitive and attentive to the new reality, and even encouraged the rest of the family. Danny first studied in a Hebrew ulpan and then began working to help support the family. During his first years in Israel, Danny missed his friends in Russia and wanted to visit them, but as time went by, when he became acquainted with Israel, he managed to acquire new friends, At the end of April 1995 he joined the Israel Defense Forces, trained as a driver of Heavy Trucks. On July 13, 1997, Danny was killed while carrying out his duties in a traffic accident. Twenty-two years old, Danny was when he fell. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Netanya. Survived by his parents and brother. After his fall Danny was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
