Was born on November 23, 1923 in the city of Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where he received his first education at the parents ‘home, which was rooted in Torah and tradition and was one of the best students in the R’ Shimon Raphael Hirsh At the end of 1935, he immigrated to Israel with his parents, who settled in Haifa, where he continued his studies at the Yavneh Reali School and later moved to the Tiferet Israel Yeshiva, where he joined the ranks of the ultra-Orthodox Ezra youth movement. The Haifa branch of the organization and one of its main guides until his last day, after leaving the yeshiva he worked as a clerk in a trade house until he was called to service when the riots broke out after he was already a member of the Haganah He was a member of the Religious Department of the Religious Department, and from December 1947 to March 1948 Michael was one of Haifa’s loyal defenders, and after the liberation of Haifa he enlisted in the Alexandroni Brigade to serve in a religious unit and to promote the religious fund in his unit. In the battles for the Jews and Tantura, a battle that affected him most because he lost one of his close friends and left a will in which he wanted to be buried in Haifa if he fell in battle. During Operation Horev, a “liquidation” operation was carried out against the “Faluja pocket,” in which an Egyptian brigade was besieged. The attack took place on the eastern flank of the “pocket” in the area of ​​Iraq al-Manshiyya. The Alexandroni forces broke into the village from the south and took over part of it, but their assault on the hill north of the village was repulsed. Meanwhile, the Egyptians recovered and attacked and forced our forces to withdraw. Part of the force was trapped inside the village. In this battle he fell on the 28th of Kislev 5709 (December 28, 1948) and was buried by the enemy. After his body was identified, he was transferred on the 13th of Kislev 5704 (4 December 1949) to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Haifa as he wished in his will.
