Eden, Remy


Son of Ephraim and Eve. He was born on February 19, 1951, in Tiberias. He studied at the Erlich Elementary School in Tiberias and joined the military boarding school near the Biram School in Haifa. He was forced to leave the boarding school three years later because of the pressures and fears of his parents because of the fall of his two cousins ​​within a period of two years. He returned to Tiberias and graduated with honors from the “Hagalil” High School. In his youth he was a member of the Scouts movement and during his high school studies he participated in the Gadna activities and was an excellent athlete who loved basketball and soccer. When he finished his army service, he intended to study medicine, and he loved challenges, because “life without challenges is not life,” he used to say. And with a sense of humor, his friends liked him and loved to be with him, he was drafted into the IDF in August 1969 and volunteered to serve in the air force. On the 17th of Marcheshvan 5710 (October 29, 1969), at the beginning of his career in the army, he died in the course of his duties. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Tiberias. The commander of the squadron sent a letter of condolence to his family, in which son of Shar wrote: “From conversations with his classmates, the character of a gifted boy, who is a favorite of his friends, has become a pivotal center for the entire society around him.
