Duchiminer, Eliezer-Israel (“Lazer”)
The only son of Henryk (Chaikel) and Shoshana (Sonia). He was born on October 6, 1946 in the city of Gitzlo, Germany, in coordination with his sister. The family immigrated to Israel in 1950 and settled in Rishon Letzion. He completed his studies at the Brenner elementary school in Nahalat Yehuda and then continued his high school studies at the Reali Gymnasium in Rishon Letzion where he completed his studies. As an only child to his parents, he was very devoted to them. He was accepted and loved by his friends. In August 1964 he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Combat Engineering Corps, completed a course for paramedics and during his army service he was prepared for various operations without any attempt to evade the claims. The first year of the Six-Day War, he was called to reserve duty, and when he was a paramedic, he discovered dedication and sacrifice in the battle when a tank of the force mounted a mine in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip and remained stuck in a minefield. From there he treated the wounded under fire from close range and after he submitted Helping his brother-in-law fell on the 27th of Iyar (June 6, 1967), the second day of the battles. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and later moved to the eternal rest of the cemetery in Rishon Letzion.
