Doron-Sidi, Lethay

Ben-Sheva and Boaz. Born on September 16, 1982 in Ashkelon. His special name was given to him in the name of a wild plant. He grew up and was educated in Ashkelon and already in his youth he expressed his love for flora and fauna. He studied at the Ilanot and Beit Yehezkel elementary schools and was discovered as a sensitive student with deep artistic feelings, which he expressed in painting and illustration. He continued his studies at the junior high school of the “Ironi Alef” Comprehensive School in Ashkelon and also lived in a boarding school in the Kanot agricultural school. From there he returned to Ashkelon, to the comprehensive high school “Ironi Aleph”. He referred to the matriculation exams as a marginal matter, but decided to send them to the Tel Aviv High School in Ashkelon. He had an excellent memory that helped him overcome dyslexia in reading and writing. Those who did not know him closely were not aware of the defect and could not see it. Lithi was fluent in English and knew her at the mother tongue level. His greatest love was the music – he often heard hip-hop music and rap music, most of whose singers were black, listened to Discman at any time and even moved his voice in song. Doron’s soul went out to animals – dogs and others, and the pictures of his dogs “Olti” and “Dinu” accompanied him at every step. At the end of March 2001, Lithi was drafted into the IDF. He was posted to the Paratroopers Brigade and began basic training for a training course for the IDF. Despite being an only child, he aspired to be a fighter and was motivated to serve the country as a combat soldier. Lathay was a handsome boy of high height who loved life and was happy to live it. He was friendly to everyone, easily connected to anyone who wanted to, and bought friends and acquaintances from all over the country. His contribution to society was great and significant, and the ability to give to friends and loved ones is endless. Lethy stood out everywhere he went and showed an impressive presence. He expressed his love for people, animals or black music without hesitation and made sure to assimilate in his unique way in his environment and among his loved ones. Lythi’s unique qualities, as well as the way he chose to express himself, stand out in the field and demonstrate his feelings, attracted many. He spent a lot of time with the friends he really loved in the places where the black music was played, and he liked to admire the music his mother loved but found a spark of affection for music. Lathy made sure to look good in every situation and every hour of the day. He knew about himself, knew how to run around and spend time, acquired the affection of others, and carried them into his madness… He was always at the center of attention, paying attention to him, bringing back love and warmth. On July 28, 2001, Litai was killed at the age of eighteen and a half, and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Ashkelon and wrote to the bereaved family: “Laiti enlisted in the IDF, He was a diligent, devoted, energetic and joyful soldier who displayed a great ability and a remarkable personal level … We will preserve his memory and he will be with us forever. ” His family wrote: “A person who is amazing in his beauty and even more in his character, loves everyone who has ever known and really loves a few of them, likes to stand out and demonstrate his presence at any time and in every situation, taking care of himself, always taking care of his loved ones and sometimes even more of himself.
