Dobshani, Yehuda
Yehuda, son of Rivka (from an old Hebronite family) and Levi Yosef
Dobshani, was born on February 12, 1928 in Jerusalem. He was active in the Haganah from his youth. He participated in many battles, patrols, explosions and sabotage. He taught for a while in a course for recruits. He was sent to Gush Etzion and on May 14, 1948, he and his two comrades, accompanied by a delegation of the Red Cross, went to negotiate with the Legion officers about the surrender of the place, and although he was unarmed he was shot and killed. On the 25th of Cheshvan 5710 (17.11.1949) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
