Son of Avraham and Nechama. He was born on July 21, 1932 in Rostock, Germany. He was interested in sports and belonged to Maccabi. Even in the drama he was interested, and even when he studied at the Gymnasium, he was active in the drama club; He later participated in the drama club of Habimah.
