Son of-Miriam and Azriel, was born on 28.7.1919 in the city of Bardejov, Slovakia to a Hasidic family, completed eight classes in an elementary school, studied Torah and was well versed in the Torah. He was active in the agricultural training department, and he trained in Zlata-Murevce before the outbreak of the Second World War and was about to immigrate to Israel, He even boarded a boat that would sail on the Danube towards the seaports, but this attempt did not work, and when the war broke out he was drafted into a garrison He was joined by the Nazis, who had joined them in the Nazi concentration camp in Bergen-Belsen, and finally managed to reach the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Switzerland, where he helped many Bnei Akiva counselors in their work and guided Jewish orphans and refugee children until his arrival in Palestine in July 1945. In Israel, he joined his friends in Kfar Etzion and became involved in the group and society. At the outbreak of the War of Independence he took part in the defense of the village. On May 4, 1948, he transferred ammunition from Kfar Etzion to the outpost at Giv’at Ha-selim, a short distance from the enemy positions, and returned to his post, which was to detonate the mine that had been placed at the gate with the entry of the enemy’s armored vehicles. Where he fell with the other defenders on Wednesday, May 13, 1948. On the 17th of Cheshvan 5710 (17.11.1949) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
