Son of Rachel and Michael, was born on April 1, 1962, in the center of Shapira, in the Judean Lowland. Avraham was a member of a traditional family. His father immigrated to Israel from the Netherlands and his mother from Uruguay, and they both met and married at the religious kibbutz in Ein Tzurim. Avraham began his studies at the elementary school in the center of Shapira, where he studied six classes. When he was nine years old, his father was sent to the Golan Heights. Over time, the family decided to settle in Moshav Nov, in Ramat-Aviv, where Avraham continued his studies at the junior high school in Ramat Magshimim. Afterward, he studied for two years at a high school in Tiberias. Avraham loved the agricultural work, and when he was 16 years old began to work as a contractor in the agriculture sector in the Golan Heights. His goal was to save money, to develop his father’s farm in Nov. He was the first of the boys to be drafted into the IDF, and in November 1979 he enlisted in the Engineering Corps and completed his basic training course, and was promoted to corporal in September 1980. Avraham was sent to the Armored Corps Course , And was raised to the rank of sergeant. During the war for the Galilee, Avraham served as the driver of the half-track and as a sergeant of sabotage, leading the attacking column in his armored car, whose task was to evacuate traffic arteries to the advancing tanks. He was buried at Moshav Nov in the Golan Heights, the first tomb in his seat, and left behind his parents, brother and sister, and wrote in a letter of condolence to his family: “Sergeant Avraham Gave his life for his homeland. He served in the engineering corps as a soldier and as a noncom, and fell as a sergeant of a platoon, he was devoted and responsible, very acceptable to his soldiers and commanders alike, he fulfilled his duties in the best possible way. ” The commander of his unit wrote to his family: “Abraham bravely and devotedly fulfilled all the tasks that were imposed upon him, until he fell from enemy bullets.”
