Dayan, Reuven
Son of Moshe and Miriam. He was born in 1935 in Morocco, and when he was half the year the family immigrated to Israel and after a brief stay at Sha’ar HaAliyah, the family moved to Haifa, where he studied at the “Kol Israel Haverim” And joined a youth movement on Kibbutz Eyal when he was drafted into the IDF in August 1953 and turned to the Nahal Brigade to complete the regular army service, which later became part of the agriculture. Active in the social and cultural life, and engaged in most of the work that led to the development of the agriculture 964, after most of his friends left, Reuven also had to leave and move to his parents’ home in Haifa, where he began working in the kibbutz and was saved for a penny. In this service, he participated in the war and fought bravely, and on Sunday, June 9, 1967, he was the fifth day of the battles. He left a wife and a baby about nine months old. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and was later transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. His memory was included in the booklet “Nachshoni HaGolan” published by his battalion.
