Daniel Kedmi


Daniel, youngest son of Tamar and Boaz Kedmi, was born on October 18, 1995 in Kfar Sava. Daniel grew up in Tzofim, a settlement whose founders included his parents. He was educated at the Kochav Yair elementary school and at the Rabin High School in Kfar Sava. Daniel was always full of joy, and his leadership and charisma. On 19.11.2013, Daniel enlisted in the IDF demanding to be a combat soldier as his father and brother before him. Daniel served as a combat soldier in the Kfir infantry brigade. In the course of the service Daniel was promoted to the rank of corporal, and in light of his excellence he was sent in mid-2014, about half a year after he was recruited for a course for squad commanders.
Daniel fell in battle during Operation Tzuk Eitan on July 28, 2014. Daniel was eighteen years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, Tel Aviv. After his fall, Daniel was promoted to sergeant.
