Yitzhak (Itzik), son of Ruchama and Yehuda, was born in Casablanca, Morocco on Wednesday, May 18, 1953. He studied in an elementary school in Casablanca for three years and in 1962 immigrated to Israel and settled in Kiryat Motzkin near Haifa, He graduated from the “ORT” high school in Kiryat Bialik, where he studied mechanical frames, sometimes his friends would be called him Jackie, he was a devoted son to his parents and helped them Especially his mother, which he used to tell her everything: “It is not in words that it will be told about Itzik’s great love for his family. There was always a smile on his face, despite the harsh living conditions we were in, and he always helped everyone-whether at home or at school. Even when he joined the army, he devoted his short vacations to help in the house. “He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement, and later became a guide in the kibbutz, and was active in sports, especially in lifting weights and swimming. His sister says he “loved trips and hikes more than anything, and did not miss either of them. He had great physical ability and great curiosity to see and know new places in the country. “In addition to these occupations, Itzik played the guitar, which he acquired with his money, painted in his spare time and cleverly designed jewelry and household items. During the Yom Kippur War, he participated in the battles against the Syrians in the Golan Heights, as a soldier in the Artillery Corps, on the 7th of Tishrei 5740 (7.10.1973), during the difficult battle against Tel A-Saki, Itzik with a rescue force on the battlefield where he was hit and killed in an ambush by Syrian soldiers, was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Afula. He was followed by a father, a mother, five brothers and three sisters, and was promoted to the rank of corporal.
