Cohen, Alec
Alec, son of Betty and Moshe, was born on April 13, 1953, in Manchester, England. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1958. Alec went through all the stages of growing a child in the kibbutz, and even though he encountered the checkpoints that the kibbutz children set up for every foreigner in the distance, he eventually took his place with the children. During the Yom Kippur War, he served as a liaison officer in a tank unit that fought on the southern front. It was on the 12th of Tishrei 5734 (October 8, 1973) that he fell and he was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Ma’agan Michael, leaving behind a father, mother and sister.
