Butbul, Chaim


Son of Avraham and Zahava. He was born on the 18th of Adar 5717 (18.2.1957) in Haifa. He studied at the Akiva elementary school in Daughter of-Yam and continued his studies at the ORT-Daughter of-Yam vocational high school. Haim was a member of a large family of children. He was a good boy and did his best to satisfy and help his parents. He had various hobbies – he loved sports very much and played football a lot. He was blessed with good hands and knew how to do his work well. He was an ambitious boy and challenged himself, especially in the professional field. When he was in high school he was active in the Gadna, and he had many friends who loved him and asked for his girlfriend, who was naturally optimistic and Simcha and Simcha to help others, Haim was drafted into the IDF in mid-August 1975 and assigned to the Ordnance Corps. After basic training, he completed a five-year course in a tank tank and was sent to a unit of the Ordnance Corps in Sinai, where he was known as a well-disciplined soldier and soldier, loved by all – soldiers and commanders alike. A year later, he was awarded the rank of corporal and was later awarded the service-operational mark for his part in the operational activities of his unit On March 21, 1977, Chaim was wounded and four days later died His wounds. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents, brothers and sisters. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the commander of the unit wrote: “Haim served under my command, he was discovered as a model soldier, and he did everything he was asked to do. His commanders and comrades bitterly mourn his death. ” His parents donated a Torah scroll and a Menorah frame to a synagogue, and the Ort-Daughter of-Yam school donated a picture, a lamp and a cup.
