The eldest son of Geula and Isaac. He was born on the 5th of Sivan on the eve of the Shavuot holiday (20.5.1980) in Tel Aviv and was born to a traditional, religious, loving and loving family, named after Mordechai Marco, who was humble, loving, pleasant When he was a year old, he and his parents moved to Moshav Mekora in the Jordan Valley, and he was a handsome baby and a sociable and smiling toddler – deep, intelligent charcoal eyes and black curls that adorned his face. He was very fond of the kindergarten teachers because of his easy nature, wisdom, curiosity and active participation in daily life in the garden and at parties. He used to ride with his father on the tractor or ride his bicycle on the moshav’s paths, his curls swirling in the wind and his cheeks flushed with happiness. When Amit was eight years old, he moved with his family to Bat Yam, where he went to third grade at the Nachshonim elementary school, continued to be a good student, quiet, diligent and diligent, successful in his studies. Amit was very fond of his teachers, and his parents were delighted at the parents’ meetings when they heard praise for his manners and excellence. He had a rich language of speech, and in general, he had many different skills. From childhood he was very fond of painting, especially figures from books. In the fourth grade, he painted events from the Hasamba books, after reading the entire series and identifying with the group of boys, especially with their leader Yaron Zehavi, who participated in music circles and knew many songs. Karate, who has also studied tennis for a number of years, graduated from the Ramot high school with a high degree of success in the biological-artistic track, thanks to his phenomenal memory, preparing only two days before the matriculation exams. The family, through which parents raised Amit and his younger brothers to Jewish morals and values, values of love The people and the people, honesty, caring for what is happening in the country, political involvement, partnership and giving that is not dependent on the matter, while the many trips throughout the country have instilled roots and love of the land. A son who respects his parents and is devoted to the family, which was his highest priority, he helped his mother with household tasks, and always made do with little, while maintaining a close relationship with the extended family. Love for his friends and people, he often invited and hosted in his home. Amit considered and respected everyone, organized social events and avoided arguments and quarrels. His friend Moshe Bressler said: “Amit was a man who always knew how to help and contribute … He was always there for everyone, family and friends alike, and above all he was a good friend! … Always unite them all …” Who wrote since he was a high school student: songs of love, songs of giving, songs in the wake of terror attacks, songs of love of the country and nature. Some composed on the guitar and others were composed after his death. One of them was even played on radio and television. The song “A Piece of Heaven” was written thirty days before it fell: “… It’s not easy to build a better world for the children / When the evil here rules / When they say it will be good, what do they mean? / Tell me the truth. And the smoothing has becomeTo the garden / Everything bloomed around here / Then it was so perfect // If foxes came to the garden / And passed the fence / shield nearby they came here / to annex the yard to them. The seedlings were uprooted, the grass they destroyed / the olive tree was cut long ago / the dove sent with such a clear message / that it will never come back. “If I had a piece of heaven / part of land and sand / for the sake of defense / I would have done everything.” Amit joined the IDF on July 21, 1998, and after completing his basic training in the Givati Brigade, He served as a commander in the Shaked battalion and was the source of his pride, serving in various positions in Lebanon and Gaza, and never attempted to calm his parents. In the past few months, he was the sergeant of the patrol unit in the company “Shud” company. In the eyes of his soldiers he symbolized the desire for excellence. One of them, his uncle Benista, said: “Busidan served me as a friend more than a commander … When he gave orders to the soldiers, the soldiers carried out the operation because they assessed the enumerator … Busidan took care of us in his spare time preparing for the roll call, Press’ because he is naturally nervous. ” In the exercises, Amit was the first to jump, “wakes everyone up and yells at us to fly to positions …” Dudu said during his rest, he would go up to the guard posts, pass the time of the soldiers guarding him, and sometimes even keep them in place. His subordinates and friends told us that Amit had changed the Sabbath and allowed them to leave home after spending a lot of time at the base. When he was about to be released – at the height of the second intifada and the wave of terror attacks in Israel – he felt that the company still needed him and that he should remain in the army. His love for Israel knew no bounds, he was a patriot and never left the country, and when he was released he enrolled in law school and political science at Bar-Ilan University. As a security guard at the Oranim special education school in Or Yehuda, and at the end of each day he used to stay and help bring the students to the buses. The book, Vered Papo, said: “He stood at the gate and received every person and every student with a smile on Face … always with petting and always with a ‘good morning’. He was just a soul and in time he became part of the school team, just like one of us. “After working for five months he left his job as a security guard when he was hired by Brink, where he worked for one month But eight months after his release, following the attack at the Park Hotel in Netanya, Operation Defensive Shield was launched, in order to destroy the terrorist infrastructure. , Who arrived by phone on March 29, 2002, at 11 PM Within five minutes Amit was ready to go out and join his comrades in the fighting. He did not want his father to drive him to the assembly point so as not to bother him, and so he did not want to pay his respects. “I gave him a long hug, in order to stay as long as possible for his departure to the bus stop, foreign. The friend is waiting, his name is yes, he is a friend, he is loved, and he goes out in his Sabbath clothes, because he will not let him wait for him. He has to go out as he has declared before us, to eradicate the terrorist attacks, Terror, Jenin. “Amit volunteered for his first and last reserve duty in the 7020 Battalion of the Nachshon Battalion in the auxiliary company, and he came to Ofer Segal, the commander of the detachment, and wanted to fight alongside him at the spearhead and to command the first squad. “A diamond operated,” he wrote after the battle in Jenin, Ofer said: “I knew that Amit was a sergeant in the regular service. Although he was new, I was aware of his abilities, I knew that he understood the implications of his request and therefore I placed him as commander of the first squad. I was particularly impressed by the seriousness with which Amit related to his squad. He trained her repeatedly, without compromise, until her friends acquired the ability to satisfy him. “Amit carried out the task of demolishing the terrorist infrastructure from house to house in the winding alleys of the refugee camp, while preserving the lives of the soldiers and the lives of civilians in Jenin. In the short conversations he had with his family, he reassured him that he put on phylacteries every morning, and in one of the messages to his girlfriend he wrote: “Do not cry, be strong for me …” and the last message he sent her was: “Tell the parents that everything is okay with me. I am very fond of them. “After nine days of intense fighting, on the Holocaust Martyrs ‘and Heroes’ Remembrance Day, a platoon of paratroopers found themselves killed and wounded, and Amit was the first to force the wounded and killed under heavy enemy fire in a narrow alley , The commander replied: “… When the comrades cry out for help, then he summoned the whole spring to his aid and began running, to his friends he Running, to save them, cold and fierce, stubbornly ignoring enemy bullets whistling from all sides. ” The supreme value of not leaving wounded on the ground was the driving force to enter the inferno. He was devoted to the comrades who fought alongside him, most of whom he had not known until then. Amit was among the three fighters whose bodies were kidnapped by the terrorists and rescued by the naval commandos. In summing up the command’s investigation, the Central Command’s officer, Col. Gal Hirsch, wrote about the difficult battle “that took place on consecutive days against a determined enemy who used civilians as’ life shields’ … The fighters’ fighting style after the encounter is exemplary Sacrifice and heroism, “and Amit wrote that he” was at the head of the fighters and strove for the touch. Ran to rescue the wounded under fire and sacrificed his life fighting the enemy with determination.
