Brenitz, Oved (Ovadia)

Son of Sima and Yitzhak was born in Rehovot on December 18, 1961. His first four years were spent in Sha’arayim, and the family moved to the Oshit neighborhood in Rehovot. He worked in the Yavne’eli elementary school in Rehovot, where he was already sensitive to others, and Oved took advantage of his physical strength to protect the weaker children in the group and continued his studies at the Amos De Shalit high school and high school in Rehovot. Oved wanted to be a pilot in the Israel Defense Forces, but due to a flaw in one of his eyes, he was assigned to the Armored Corps, which he did not like, and he did not understand how soldiers could write love songs to a tank. Oved fell during his service in the Peace for Galilee War on April 12, 1983, and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Rehovot. He was 21 years old when he died.
