Bracha, Ben-Zion (‘Bentzi’)

Ben Zion, son of Yitzhak and Tous Bracha, was born on the 15th of Sivan 5714 (16.6.1954) in Ashkelon. Bentzi was a devoted and loyal son to his parents. When he was 17, he went to work to help them support the family. Son of-Zion was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-November 1973 and was assigned to the military-police corps, where he was trained as a military policeman. Bentzi was a good and devoted soldier, and he was loyal to his comrades and commanders. In 1975, Bentzi married his girlfriend, Yael, and at the end of that year their daughter, Revital, was born. On 11 Sivan, June 9, 1976, Bentzi fell in the line of duty. He left behind a wife, daughter, parents, brothers and sisters and was buried in the cemetery in Ashkelon.
