Borovsky, Pinchas (Pini)
Pinchas Borovsky, son of Faiga and Zvi Zeev, was born in Warsaw in 1921. In 1934 he immigrated to Israel with his parents, who settled in Tel Aviv. After graduating from the elementary school, he studied at the Montefiore Technical School and intended to continue to study in a high school and become an engineer. When the German army reached Al-Alamein and threatened to invade Palestine, he volunteered for the Palestine Baps, and later joined them in the Jewish Brigade. Pinchas participated in all the battles the Brigade conducted in Italy against the Germans and reached Germany. He also served in Belgium and the Netherlands. In the winter of 1948 he participated in the defense of Tel Aviv and its surroundings, accompanied by convoys to Jerusalem, served in the Givati Brigade. Pinchas fell on the battle of Deir Muhsin on April 6, 1948, And was put to rest at the cemetery in Hulda.
