Son of William and Lucien. He was born on 18.12.1956 in Marseilles, France. He did his elementary studies in his hometown and later moved to the ORT vocational school in Marseilles, where he studied industrial electricity, in addition to regular studies for matriculation examinations. Thus, at the end of his studies he had a matriculation certificate and a generator electrician’s certificate and systems. Charlie was an amateur musician who played the guitar and entertained his friends and family. He loved the guitar and played a lot during his free time. He also liked to listen to music, especially modern songs and pop music. Even when he was far from Israel, he was very interested in her problems and events. In his youth he was elected to be the representative of the Jewish boys of Marseilles in a congress in Paris. With his parents he went on a trip to Israel and was very proud of it. A year later, he left for Israel alone and volunteered to work in a kibbutz in the north of the country. As a result of his visits, his love for the country and its people increased. In 1975, after completing his studies in France, he immigrated to Israel with his family and settled in the Haifa area. Until his enlistment, he worked as an electrician and earned a living. Charley was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1976 and assigned to the Infantry Brigade in the Golani Brigade, where he underwent a mortar course, was sent to units and was well absorbed in the army. He liked to work in literature, and used to tell the soldiers of his unit on a voluntary basis, and he was very fond of his friends, And his parents took pride in him and saw it as the fulfillment of their dream of a son who takes part in building the country and preserving the homeland. He was always a good boy and devoted to his parents, and when he came for vacation, he did not let his mother work because of him, he always washed his clothes himself and did all the work, so long as he did not burden her with trouble. “Charlie was one of the leaders of the department and stood out as a book and guitar player. This helped to raise the morale in the unit. Charlie was the driving spirit of the company. He was always a partner in every activity, whether in operations or leisure. The scissors and razor are no longer rattling. The guitar seems to be waiting for Port on it, and we are silent in helplessness.
